SACRED VALLEY

The Sacred Valley, a beautiful valley in the Peruvian Andes, was much appreciated by the Incas because of its fertile land crossed by numerous streams and rivers. In it, the visitor can admire both the beauty of its landscape of snowy peaks as his numerous and valuable pre-Columbian terraces.

Some sites that are visited in the Sacred Valley of the Incas are: The salt mines of Maras, the archaeological complex of Moray, and the picturesque village of Chinchero (located at 3,800 meters above sea level).

The natural characteristics of the Sacred Valley of the Incas have favored the development of adventure tourism in its rivers, mountains and trails. Its epicenter is the town of Urubamba, located about 60 kilometers northeast of Cuzco, where they can practice canoeing, mountain biking, trekking, horseback riding and participate.
